Decals and stripes developed from an original Yamaha RD500LC. Each item made specifically to match the Yamaha OEM decals. Please note... All red color areas on the rd500lc are painted a pearl metallic red. (except for the tail which is a decal) Yamaha could not make decals that would cover over the bodywork as it bulges. Most of the paint work requires masking in order to achieve the two tone look. Yamaha used the Metallic Navy Blue/white stripe decals to cover over two tone paint seams, this helps you when painting the faring, tank, side covers and solo seat cowl. The Dark Metallic Navy Blue is often confused with Black. However original Yamaha decals are Dark Metallic Navy Blue, NOT Black!
